Facility Rules & Policies
Tap any rule to expand the full details. By entering or using the Frisco Badminton Academy facility, you agree to these policies.
Front desk staff can enroll you with 24x7 access. Additional fees will apply based on your current member plan type. There is a one-time registration fee charged at the time of registration. Registration fees are not refundable upon account cancellation/termination. When an account is cancelled/terminated, the account is fully closed out. Re-instating a membership will require a new registration fee as applicable at that time.
Only non-marking shoes are allowed. Anyone playing with marking shoes that can leave marks on the badminton courts will be fined. Fine for playing with marking shoes: $200.
Membership Contract
By signing up for a Frisco Badminton Academy membership, you agree to abide by our club rules (see above), pay your monthly dues on time, and treat our facility, coaches, and fellow members with respect. In exchange, we commit to providing world-class badminton training in a premium facility, transparent billing, and a community that’s invested in your progress.
The full legal contract is available at the front desk and will be provided for signature at the time of registration.
Yes. Frisco Badminton has CCTV to monitor the facility's entry/exit points as well as public walkways and courts. Footage is saved for several days but eventually gets overwritten. Frisco Badminton holds all rights to any photos and videos taken within the premises including CCTV footage, and can use the footage for various purposes such as security-related evidence, live streaming of matches, and social media posts. Members can review footage to trace lost items by visiting the front desk. Please note: while cameras are in place, we do not guarantee that all areas or incidents will be captured. You are fully responsible for your personal belongings at all times.
The management of Frisco Badminton prohibits solicitation of its members and patrons by any third party on the premises (inside and on our property). This includes offering to sell goods or services, trading products, discouraging members from buying from our pro shop, soliciting members to join a different facility, and delivering/exchanging sports products purchased from third parties. Violators will be asked to leave and may be banned. Membership termination may apply.
Courts #1 to 8, 15 & 16 are reserved for training. Any exceptions need Coach approval. Group training times: Monday–Friday 4:30–9:30 PM, Saturday–Sunday 10:00 AM–7:00 PM. Starting Monday, August 11, Courts 15 and 16 will be designated as training courts (5–9 PM Mon–Fri, 11 AM–2 PM Sun). Court 14 will be designated as a singles court.
Registration fees: A one-time membership initiation fee charged at the time of enrollment. Not refundable upon account cancellation. Monthly fees: Recurring charges to maintain your membership. Once an account is cancelled, a new registration fee will be charged prior to re-enrollment. Frisco Badminton reserves the right to adjust membership fees or other charges over time.
No. Training can only be offered by a Frisco Badminton coach under our curriculum. All coaches are accredited by USAB and SafeSport USA. Any type of badminton training — including feeding birds/shuttlecocks — by a non-FBA coach is strictly prohibited. Violators will have their membership terminated immediately.
Always email info@friscobadminton.com 30 days ahead of your next billing date. No refunds on registration fees, annual membership after contract commences, membership dues not meeting the notification period, failure to attend a scheduled class, unscheduled cancellations by staff, facility closures due to natural disaster or force majeure, or after-hours access fees. If the Academy removes a child from a class, a prorated refund will be issued for remaining classes.
Courts #9–15, 17–20 are for open play (doubles). Court #16 is a singles court — singles players are given preference. When both singles and doubles players approach at the same time, singles players go first. Note: Courts 15 and 16 may also be used for training during designated hours.
Any membership changes have a $10 charge and need to be requested in writing via email to info@friscobadminton.com. Changes take 1–4 working days. Cancellation requires 30-day written notice. There is no membership hold option. Verbal or phone requests will not be entertained.
Frisco Badminton is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property. Inquire in person at the Front Desk for lost articles. Phone inquiries are not allowed. To claim an item, provide a valid photo ID and accurately describe the item. The lost items bin is regularly emptied — unclaimed items are discarded or donated.
Frisco Badminton hosts 3–4 tournaments per year (kids and adults). During tournaments, Frisco Badminton holds the right to close open play. Check with the front desk or our events page for the current tournament schedule.
Only checked-in members are allowed to play during open play per their plan. Non-members need a day pass from the front desk. Parents accompanying kids to classes cannot play unless they are members or have a pass. Non-members found on courts without a day pass may be fined $250. Members escorting friends inside without a pass risk membership termination + $250 fine.
Frisco Badminton expects patrons to conduct themselves with respect and courtesy at all times. Unacceptable behavior — including bullying, harassment, threats, profanity, racial slurs, obscene gestures, fighting, physical abuse, or unwelcome solicitation — can lead to immediate membership cancellation.
No. After-hours access is only for the authorized access holder. You cannot let others into the facility using your pass. If someone asks, politely inform them they can obtain their own 24/7 access pass at the front desk during regular hours. Guests need their own membership before entering.
Each player can play for 20 minutes and rebook by placing a racket on the next available hook. Max 4 rackets per doubles hook, 2 per singles hook. Players waiting in queue can request the court after 20 minutes or 2 games. Please be courteous and vacate promptly. Keep phones on silent. Placing more than 1 racket on hooks is prohibited — violators may be fined and membership terminated.
Our curriculum does not offer make-up classes.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. Please ensure your selection carefully before purchasing. Shoes and wearable merchandise cannot be returned. Products are available for purchase only — we do not offer loaners or demo products for testing.
