The Facility
Twenty courts. Forty-foot ceilings. BWF-certified lighting. Olympic-grade mats. Park by the giant shuttlecock sculpture out front — you can’t miss it.
Origin Story
Frisco Badminton Academy was founded in 2017 by Karri Reddy and a group of sports enthusiasts who wanted a real home for badminton in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. We started in a warehouse — a passion project — and eventually built the dedicated facility you visit today: twenty courts, forty-foot ceilings, BWF-spec lighting, Olympic-grade mats, all designed from the ground up for the sport. Seven years after we opened our doors, our athletes brought home America's first Olympic and Paralympic badminton medals.
Frisco Badminton Academy opened in 2017, founded by Karri Reddy and a group of sports enthusiasts who saw what was missing in North Texas: a real home for badminton. Frisco — already known as Sports City USA for its dense concentration of professional sports teams — gave us access to the players, the coaches, and the athletic culture needed to build something extraordinary. From a warehouse passion project to the largest dedicated badminton training center in DFW.
